Introducing Ruth Jeffcoate!
She is lovely, glamorous and intelligent and that’s why we love her!
We asked Ruth about what it’s like to work at CYZ…
I’ve worked at CYZ since November 2017.
I’m the Fundraising Officer. Not a lot of people realise that we are a charity, and that it takes a lot of money to keep our doors open for our young people. As such, we look to raise money from a lot of different sources such as private sector funding / Trust & Grants in kind support & donations. I am responsible for raising money from Trusts and Grants.
I only work part-time, so it is important to me that I have been made to feel like such a needed part of the team. The service that the team provide at CYZ is incredible, and it is an honour to be even one small part of it. I enjoy helping the team raise the money required to keep on providing this service for young people.
…and about her hobbies and childhood…
I love food and enjoy trying new cuisines from all over the world. My husband is a retired chef so fortunately, I don’t have to cook it myself! I also enjoy gardening and boating – we go on the canals most years.
My best childhood memory is getting my first dog. He was an Alsatian and I called him Dixie. I loved him to bits – and he was very protective of me.
