Become a Patron
Your company can make a difference to young people from across Carlisle.
You can make a difference and help create a better future for the young people in Carlisle.
We look to local businesses and individuals to help us raise money to support our work and help keep the costs low and the quality high for thousands of young people across Carlisle and the surrounding areas.
The Youth Zone is funded by contributions from Private Sector sponsors, Trusts and Grants and community fundraising and events. Carlisle Youth Zone currently has supporters from major organisations to small local businesses and is always looking to develop that network with organisations who believe passionately in the future of our young people.
Financial support
The CYZ #Patronfamily commits to a regular, affordable monthly donation.
They are an integral part of our ‘team’ and through their generous support have a positive impact on the lives of thousands of young people each year.
You can become an official CYZ patron, either personally or through your business, from £50 a month. we ask businesses to select the giving level which is appropriate for them and what they can commit to for the long term as we need CYZ to stick around for generations to come!
As well as the satisfaction of giving back to the community, there are many other rewards to becoming a CYZ patron. These include, but are not limited to…
- PR or social media coverage of your decision to become a patron
- Promotion of business on website, social media and annual report publication. Engaging with 100s of businesses and 1000s of families from across North Cumbria who actively follow our accounts.
- Being part of a network of over 150 local businesses who share the same values.
- Invited to at least 3 network events per year, such as the CYZ Business Breakfast
- Opportunity to attend patron-only events such as CYZ’s Annual Raceday (with over 200 businesses in attendance).
- Opportunities to engage with other patrons alongside CYZ members – such as football matches, competitions which raise local awareness and specific campaigns sponsored by patrons (i.e. IWD and Pride events).
Currently, we have just over 1200 members visiting each week, which means 1200 families, groups of friends, grandparents etc.
Carlisle Youth Zone will try our very best to ensure that all these people know which local businesses are supporting the ambitions, development and future of their children.

Managing Director, Cumbrian Properties
We are proud to support the Youth Zone once we saw the amazing work they do for the youth of Carlisle.
Sam Lloyd
Lloyd Motor Group
The Youth Zone is absolutely essential for our young people’s short term needs and long term outlook.
I was astonished by the outreach of the youth zone and a little embarrassed by my own ignorance to the scale of privation we have within our city. They are genuinely making a huge and often unnoticed difference every day and we’re very pleased that we can help in any small way.
Jo Ritzema
Managing Director, WCF
WCF are proud to be patrons of CYZ. We match our community and charity donations with the interests of our own employees by supporting local causes that they care about.
CYZ is such a fundamental part of youth development in Carlisle. As part of our own mission we commit to enabling our people, all who live and work in rural communities, to reach their full potential.
Similarly, CYZ is vital for so many youngsters to build their confidence in a safe environment. This will ultimately allow them to pursue their dreams whatever and wherever these may be. The values of CYZ very much align with our own.
Matthew Tyson
Managing Director, Peter Tyson
After a tour of the CYZ facilities I started to understand the scale and importance of the varied work carried out by the team.
This is an essential resource for the city’s young people and we are proud to be supporting them as patrons. I look forward to working closely with the staff and local communities in the coming months to make a positive change.
