We couldn’t be prouder of CYZ Senior Member Ro who was awarded finalist at the Pride of Cumbria Awards in the Young Person of the Year category.
Ro was recognised for all the contributions they have made to CYZ over the last 10 years, which includes (but not limited to) being a Young Leader and a member of Youth Voice ACE.
You’ll often find Ro sharing their passion for music with younger members in the CYZ music room, helping them to explore & learn.
Ro said “it makes me emotional to win, and this is really powerful and means a lot”.
CYZ Team Leader Julie said “Attending the award ceremony last night with Ro was a real honour, I was extremely proud to be there and represent Carlisle Youth Zone and Carlisle’s young people”.
