Even the floor needed to be replaced after the flood – there was water that was still trapped 7 months on, and the only way to remove it was to dig up the floor. This meant, along with the greatly reduced space we had available, there would be noisy and dirty construction works going on. It wouldn’t have been practical to run a holiday club from CYZ – but we didn’t want to let our members down.

Instead, we organised to run our popular HITZ club from Carlisle College instead – All the usual activities still went ahead, and we had a great turn out!
